From loneliness to aloneness to all-oneness
When we don’t have someone special in our lives or feel unsupported, we have a choice: we can either feel lonely or open ourselves to our inner strength, independence, and the freedom and fulfillment of solitude. Recognizing how we interpret “aloneness” and acknowledging the responsibility of our perspective is what changes everything.
In loneliness we feel the absence of others. It is a negative state where we yearn for someone to fill the void.
Recognizing how we interpret "aloneness" and acknowledging the responsibility of our perspective is what changes everything.
In contrast, in aloneness we feel the presence of ourselves. It is a positive state of self-awareness, connection and inner fulfillment. It’s a presence that transcends the need for external validation, allowing us to feel complete within ourselves and at peace.
The journey from loneliness to aloneness to all-oneness is like moving from feeling empty and isolated, to finding ourselves in being alone, and finally, to feeling deeply connected to everything around you.
