The story goes that Mullah Nasruddin had lost his keys. It was late at night, and he was frantically searching for them underneath a street lantern outside of his house. A bypassing friend saw him and joined him in his search. But even with joint efforts they didn’t manage to find the lost keys.
Do you remember when you last had the keys, the friend asked.
Yes, said Mullah. I had them in the house and lost them there.
The friend was visibly shocked.
Why have we looked for them outside on the street when you have lost them in the house, he inquired.
Because there is more light here than in my house, responded Mullah.
