The imposter

When we don’t realize our true nature as pure consciousness, we start to believe in a separate, limited version of ourselves. It’s like mistaking the movie screen for the real world.

This mistaken identity brings a sense of lack and a constant search for peace and happiness outside of ourselves. We try to fill this void with things like substances, possessions, or relationships, but it never truly satisfies us because it’s based on an illusion.

It’s like mistaking the movie screen for the real world.

The separate self, the ego, which is just a product of this illusion, desperately seeks what it can never truly attain: inner peace, happiness, and love. It’s like a moth drawn to a flame, desiring something it can never grasp. The only way for the ego to experience true peace and happiness is by dissolving its illusionary existence, just like the moth finds its end in the flame.

The separate self, the ego, is just a product of this illusion.

But here’s the catch: this separate self isn’t real in the first place. It’s just a trick of perception. So, it doesn’t really die; it simply dissolves once we see through the illusion. Recognizing this truth doesn’t require any special activity or mental effort. It’s about having the courage to look deeply within ourselves, see clearly, and live in alignment with what we discover.

We unveil our true nature as boundless consciousness, always present and unlimited.

Our true essence, which is pure consciousness, knows no bounds or limitations. It’s eternal and infinite. It’s only our thoughts and feelings that make us believe otherwise. By exploring these beliefs and letting go of the sense of lack they create, we unveil our true nature as boundless consciousness, always present and unlimited.
