When the gods created the universe, they created the sky and the earth. They created the seas, the mountains, the flowers, the trees, the fishes, the birds, and all other animals. Then they created human beings. At the end, they created truth.

They discussed where they should hide truth so that human beings would not find it right away. They wanted the search for truth to be an adventure.

“Let’s put truth on the top of the highest mountain,” said one of the gods.

“Let’s put it between the farthest stars,” said another. “Certainly it will be hard to find there.”

“Let’s hide it in the darkest and deepest of abysses.” said the third.

“Let’s conceal it on the secret side of the moon.” suggested another.

At the end, the wisest of all gods said, “No, we will hide truth inside the very heart of human beings. In this way they will look for it all over the universe, and eventually realize that it was inside themselves and has been there all the time.”
