A long journey

Once I decided to opt out of the rat-race,
it gave me the space to breathe.
Space I needed to unlearn
conditioned concepts and behaviors.
And to relearn how to truly be.

I discovered
beyond the fake sense of security
which were made up of the limitations
I knew so well
the infinite realm.
There…
A whole universe was waiting
“inside of me.”

Though I had been there all along,
I stood in wonder and awe.
It has taken me a long journey
to “see.”
