Perfect Timing

Second face,
third eye,
fourth knee

From behind
hope comes
embracing me

About time
but always
right
Psyche,
Freud
and
Fahrenheit

Restraints

What is the luxury
of finding “the” religion?
When they too come with restraints.

Gently approaching the line

the heart won’t mind
should we cross it

Aren’t missteps part
of each journey, too?

Transactional Love

Isn’t the act of giving,
and doing the thing you love
Already some kind of token
or the full reward?

What deal is there
to be made with love?
Exchange one for another
and nothing freely given?

On reciprocity hypothetically
the high pays off the low
Until expectancy is up against rebellion
and there’s nowhere to go.

Time is Up

Time is up,
but there’s no need to hurry.
Looking at the stars in the sky,
it takes millions of years
for the light to reach me.
So when I see them sparkle,
I see them as they were –
a glimpse of the past,
a cosmic blur.

Showing what was
and not what is,
they are memories
of light that last
long after their source
has ceased to exist.

Reminding me of where
we came from and where
we might go,I wish I could fly
past the speed of light,
and touch them.

Space

There is much space between my molecules
I sink in and take the expanded room.

The Mirror

Split screen myself
in the hope of finding
the buggy function.

Found findings,
thought thoughts
I will only see
what I know to see.

Or feel forgotten.
Withdraw myself
from outside noise.

My inner knower knows
and guides me back on track.
I’ve let myself be found.
