Sometimes, we might say we want to get better. Obviously. Who wouldn’t want to get better?
But there’s a subconscious part of us, hidden deep inside, that’s not so sure or rather that’s kind of comfortable with our current situation. It’s like, we’re used to it, and change can be scary. So, even though we say we want to heal, there’s a little voice inside saying, “Do we really?”
It might sound weird, but sometimes we get attached to feeling down, hurt and victimized.
And then there are the emotional attachments we’ve formed with our pain or suffering. It might sound weird, but sometimes we get attached to feeling down, hurt and victimized. It’s almost like it has become our identity, a part of who we are. So, even if we want to heal, there’s our emotional baggage holding us back.
And then, there’s the fear of what comes after healing. Being healthy often means taking on new responsibilities, changing our lives, and that can be scary. So, even though we want to feel better, we might hesitate because we don’t know what comes next.

Maybe we feel that we should be ready to heal, but in fact we’re not at all.
Healing is a process that involves our body, mind, and emotions, and sometimes, there’s an inner struggle going on that we need to address alongside our physical or emotional recovery.
It’s all part of being human.
