Where to get your free astro chart?

This is a simple guide on how to create your own personal astro chart online for free.

All you need is your date, time and place of birth.

Don’t worry if you don’t know your exact birth time. Many people don’t have this information on hand. You can still make it up or leave it out. All you need to know is that you are missing some information in your chart.

To be complete, what you are missing without the time would be the 4 angles of the chart (Ascendent & Descendent, Midheaven & Imum Coeli) and therefore all the house positions of the planets. This may not mean anything to you right now, but don’t worry. There is still plenty of information for you to work with.

But don’t be discouraged about not having your exact birth time. After all, astrology is not all about precision, it is also a lot about intuition and helping your intellect communicate with your subconscious, the part of you that helps you feel all these things intuitively.

So with that out of the way, how do we get started?

First, you need to log on to a computer and print out your chart from a website that offers free astro charts. Or, if you have a smartphone or tablet, you can buy an astrology app. The one I use is Astro Gold and I am quite happy with it. The price is a bit on the expensive side for apps at around $50, so it might be better to try the free sites first before committing to such an expense.

There are two astro websites that I use to generate a free birth chart.
The first is Astro.com – here is the link: https://www.astro.com
Here you will find free daily horoscopes and excerpts from the horoscopes they offer for purchase. But what is really fantastic about this site is the chart drawing and data section. There you can create horoscopes for yourself or for a combine (a chart for 2 people together), and in the Locational Astrology section you will find a scalable astro map of the globe for personal travel. You can find all this under Free Horoscopes. This site works in 12 different languages, so it is not difficult to find your way around.

And while you’re at it, don’t forget that there’s also a button for additional PDF charts that you can also download. All you have to do is find the Add button, enter your information, date, time and place of birth, and if you don’t have a birth time you can enter Unknown and it will draw you a chart without the 4 angles and house positions we talked about earlier. It even has the option to select your partner reference or sexual orientation, which is handy for couple charts.

The second website for free charts that I love is Astro-Charts.com – here is the link

What it adds to the Astro.com chart is the specifics of your chart and chart patterns like Grand Trines, Kites, T_Squares and so on. It highlights if you have special constellation patterns that emphasize certain aspects and describes exactly what they are. These are advanced features that you won’t necessarily need at the beginning of your astrological journey, but it’s nice to know what phase your moon was in when you were born, or what other special or unusual features your chart has.

The chart is not as easy to export as it is on Astro.com, so I either screenshot the information I need from it or print it out as a pdf.

So there you have it. You are now ready to create your first chart, and I welcome you to the astrological community. You have become one of the courageous travelers on the journey of self-discovery.
I hope you find it as enjoyable and fascinating as I have.

And don’t worry if you don’t know what all these signs and angles and numbers mean. Once you get an overview of the symbols, it is actually easy to read. But that is for another post.

See you there!

Yours,
Cue [kjuː]
