Turn on the light – Learn to Control the Focus and Direction of That Beam
Awareness is like turning on a light in a vast, dark room.
In the beginning, our awareness may feel limited, much like a flashlight beam that can only illuminate a small area at a time.
At first, you can only see what’s right in front of you – your immediate thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
But with practice and intention, we learn to control both the focus and direction of that beam.
As we explore, the room reveals itself to be much larger than we imagined. What once seemed overwhelming or even repulsive begins to lose its power as we bring awareness to those hidden corners. It’s not about lighting up the entire room at once – it’s about taking it one step at a time. The light doesn’t force the dark away; it simply reveals what’s there.
Every beam of light expands our understanding, bringing clarity, integration, and liberation. The dark isn’t your enemy; it’s simply waiting for you to see it.
Remember that, and turn on your light.
